My character design process begins traditionally with pencil and paper. The following assorted works range in media, with a focus on expressing the funny, relatable, and wholesome character traits we come across in the people we know and love.

The sensitivity of the grain on paper using pencils contrasts the line work to unite the two realms of media.
As a young artist, I prioritise experimentation and diversity throughout my work. I used a hybrid of digital drawings overlayed on scanned sketches to create harmonious children’s book pages.
Using reference photography builds the personality of my designs and helps caricatured features transform drawings into loveable and relatable characters.
Exploring anthropomorphism is something my practice delves into often, especially as I centre my work to appeal to children.
